HondaJet Has Been Delayed Again

The delay, caused by engine problems, will push production back about a year. That means the first jets won’t roll off the assembly line until mid-2013.

The maintenance and repair operation (MRO building) will be a $20 million, 80,000-sqft facility on 20-acres at Piedmont Triad International Airport (PTI). Design of the building will be finished in 2012-Q1, with construction beginning in 2012-Q2, and occupy 2013-Q2, about the same time jet production begins.

A parts manufacturing and distribution warehouse has also been pushed back.
